Welcome to the Innovative Event Design
Challenge Results Page!
From August 5th to September 9th, we received over 25 entries from 14 Countries around the world for the Innovative Event Design Challenge. Florists & flower lovers all over the world challenged themselves to think sustainably and create new Designs & Design Systems for Event Work! This Challenge was about Re-imagining Event Design Systems with sustainability in mind.
Event Design is an huge part of the business of floristry, but for too long have we seen an over-consumption of product without any thought of the waste that is left behind. Today it is up to us florists to offer better solutions and innovative systems that can not only create an impactful statement, but that are created with sustainability in mind. We can embrace the concepts of Reduce & Reuse to ensure that we minimize our footprint, while maximizing our visual impact.
Entries were judged on a combination of design aesthetics, composition, as well as innovative & sustainable mechanics, diversity of use, and economy of means. Below you will see our TOP 3 and TOP 10 finalists, judged by FREESIA Challenge founding partners, Gregor Lersch & Hitomi Gilliam.
Our Gold Medal Winner, to be announced in our LIVE Awards Show early this upcoming week, will win a Speaking Opportunity in September’s virtual FREESIA Summit including a $1500 USD Speaker Fee.
