Sustainability Statement
‘All of the mechanics used to create this 'Earth and the Milky Way' design that was staged on a pedestal here can also be reused and repurposed for a multitude of different themes and events, whether set on the floor, dining table, or stage. Hydration for all of the live plant materials used in the design was provided by water-filled test tubes attached to both the inside and outside of the hand-crafted twig sphere. No floral foam was used.’

ASSEMBLY NOTE: Small nails with heads were pounded into the wood frame at 1.25 inch intervals on the back of a 40" X 40" stretched canvas, and thirty 5 # (light weight) wire lines, with lead fishing weights weights and swivels attached, were strung diagonally between these nails to achieve the perfect lengths required for the spiral effect of the Milky Way. These thirty wires assemblies were then hung, carefully, one at a time (to prevent tangling) from equally spaced paper clips attached to the top circle of the 5 ft. H metal stand. The overall size of the design (including the pedestal on which it was staged) was 8 ft. H X 30" D.
